Consultation: We provide a 30 minute, complimentary consultation to help answer your questions regarding chiropractic, your case, and determine if our services will help you meet your health goals. If we determine that our care isn't the best choice for you, we inform you of that as part of our service and we may recommend other health care providers who are a more appropriate match for your condition.
First Visit:
On your first visit to our office in Boulder we welcome you to our health care team. You will be asked to fill out our required forms which help us gain important and necessary information about yourself and your condition.
Dr. Joanie will ask you some specific questions regarding your condition to determine if chiropractic care may be of benefit to you. If Dr.. Joanie determines that she can help you, she will let you know and offer to answer any questions you may have before the exam. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent and/or explaination of our services. Examination We recommend comfortable clothing for the exam. Occasionally, we may request that women wear a gown to better evaluate the spine. Our chiropractic examination includes some or all of the following, depending on your condition: reflex testing; active and passive range of motion (ROM) analysis of the spine; standard orthopedic, neurologic, postural evaluation, and assessment of vital signs. Valuable information regarding your condition is obtained to better understand how chiropractic can help you. If necessary, Dr. Joanie may recommend further diagnostic tests (X-rays MRI, functional medicine lab work) or refer you for additional testing procedures to best assess your health status.
Report of Findings Once all the information and examinations have been performed, Dr. Joanie will provide you with a "report of findings" usually 1-3 days after your first visit and/or treatment. This information is provided in many learning forms so you fully understand the results and recommended care based on your health goals.
Treatment Our chiropractic adjustments are designed to be effective in making changes on a neurological, biomechanical and postural level. Often results are experienced within the first 24 hours post treatment. We also work with any other health care providers you may be seeing simultaneously to maximzie your recovery through the team approach. Simply inform us during your visit of other providers you are working with.
Our office currently participates in some insurance networks. It is your responsiblity to contact your insurance company and verify any chiropractic coverage you have, any deductible you may need to meet or if you have a co-pay or co-insurance policy. As a courtesy, we also have our billing service verify such information, however, you as a policyholder with your insurance company will get the most accurate information from them.
For patients who have little or no chiropractic insurance coverage, flexible payment programs can be arranged. |
